PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate Nurse Practitioner with excellent organizational skills to care for an adult population. This position offers a flexible schedule that can be tailored to your life demands, while also offering autonomy and quality of life. No after-hours call, competitive pay.
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate and individualized treatment plans.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Independently diagnose and treat various acute and chronic health conditions, prescribing medications, therapies, and interventions as appropriate.
Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families, emphasizing preventive measures and lifestyle modifications to promote overall well-being.
Collaborative Care: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach for optimal patient outcomes.
Order and Interpret Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and other specialized assessments, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Minor Procedures: Perform minor medical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and administering injections, as part of patient care and management.
Medication Management: Manage and adjust medication regimens, monitor drug interactions, and educate patients on medication adherence and potential side effects.
Chronic Disease Management: Provide ongoing care and management for patients with chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and more.
Health Record Maintenance: Accurately document patient interactions, medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure comprehensive and continuous care.
Healthcare Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, promoting patients’ rights, understanding their preferences, and ensuring their voices are heard in their healthcare decisions.
Emergency Care: Respond to medical emergencies and urgent situations, stabilizing and initiating appropriate interventions until further medical assistance is available.
Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Stay updated with the latest medical research and evidence-based guidelines to provide the highest standard of care and incorporate best practices into clinical decision-making.
